How image-to-ANSI works

Choose an image, then use Discord colors for pixel art or black & white for sharper silhouettes. Auto-fit reduces the resolution to fit a standard 2,000-character Discord message—including its formatting. Copy for Discord includes the ANSI code block.

Make it recognizable

Simple logos and high-contrast images work best. Zoom in to remove empty space, adjust contrast, or use Edit pixels to clean up details. Changing a setting regenerates the art and resets pixel edits.

Which formats and Discord clients work?

PNG, JPEG, WebP, GIF, SVG and other formats your browser can decode work. Animated images become a still frame. Discord desktop and web display ANSI colors; mobile clients may show plain text. The preview approximates Discord’s dark theme and font spacing.

Files are processed only in your browser, never sent to our server. Maximum file size: 20 MB, up to 40 megapixels. No Nitro is required.
