No. ANSI messages work without Nitro. The counter includes the formatting codes, so your message stays within Discord’s standard 2,000-character limit.
You can create messages on any device, but Discord’s mobile apps may display the text without colors. ANSI formatting is for code blocks in messages; it does not color usernames, bios, or role names. Backticks are converted to lookalike characters so they cannot break the message’s code block.
