From one image to a bigger Discord emoji
Make a giant emoji, a tiled logo, or a picture that spans several custom emojis. The splitter cuts your crop into equal squares and names them in reading order: left to right, top to bottom. Start with a small grid for the clearest result.
How do I turn one image into multiple Discord emojis?
Choose an image, set the rows and columns, then drag and zoom to crop it. Download the ZIP, extract the PNGs, and upload them in Discord’s Server Settings → Emoji. Keep the generated names and arrange the emojis using the included layout. You need permission to create expressions in that server.
Can I crop the image or keep the whole picture?
Crop to fill covers the grid with your image; drag or use the arrow keys to choose what stays in frame. Fit whole image keeps the entire picture with transparent padding. Zoom, rotation, and horizontal/vertical sliders give you finer control. Every tile is a square, even when your overall grid is rectangular.
What image formats can I split?
PNG, JPEG, WebP, AVIF, SVG, GIF, and other formats your browser can decode. Files must be under 20 MB and 40 megapixels. GIFs and other animated images export as one still frame, not animated emojis. Transparent areas stay transparent in the PNG downloads.
What size are the exported Discord emojis?
Each tile is a 128×128 PNG, checked against Discord’s 256 KB upload limit. You can choose 1–10 columns and 1–10 rows. Make sure your server has enough free emoji slots. Messages with more than 27 emojis may display them at a smaller size; the preview adjusts to help you judge the result.
Why do the copied emoji names stay as text?
Downloading or copying does not register emojis on Discord. Upload the PNGs first and keep their generated names. If Discord does not convert the short names, use the server’s emoji picker, or paste the uploaded custom emoji codes into this tool to create an ID-based message layout. The ZIP includes the layout and upload instructions.
Is the emoji splitter free, and are my images uploaded?
The tool is free, without sign-in or a watermark. Processing and downloads happen entirely in your browser; your image is not sent to discord.dog. Uploading the tiles to Discord is a separate step. Using custom emojis outside their server may require Nitro.
