View and download any Discord user's profile picture in full resolution. Supports animated avatars, server-specific avatars, and banners.
Discord compresses profile pictures inside the app, and you can't right-click to save a full-resolution version. discord.dog solves this by requesting avatars at the highest available resolution — up to 4096×4096 pixels — directly from Discord's CDN.
Animated avatars (GIF) are a Discord Nitro feature. discord.dog displays the animated version when available, so you can see and save the full animation. Banners — the large image behind the avatar — are also shown when the user has one.
To get a direct image link, append .png to any discord.dog profile URL. This returns a rendered profile card that you can embed anywhere — websites, READMEs, forums, or social media posts.
How do I view someone's Discord profile picture in full size?
Paste their user ID into discord.dog's avatar viewer. The full-resolution avatar is displayed on their profile page. Right-click to save it, or append .png to the URL for a direct image link.
Can I download animated Discord avatars?
Yes. If a user has a Nitro-exclusive animated avatar (GIF), discord.dog displays the animated version. You can right-click to save it as a GIF, or append .gif to the profile URL.
What resolution are Discord avatars?
Discord serves avatars up to 4096x4096 pixels. discord.dog requests the highest available resolution. Default avatars (for users without a custom avatar) are served at lower resolution.
Can I see server-specific avatars?
Yes. If a user has a different avatar in a specific server (a Nitro feature), discord.dog shows the server-specific avatar when viewing their profile in the context of that server.
